We administer our own waiting list for studio spaces, which is separate from Wasps' waiting list. If you are a ceramic artist and are interested in renting a studio space, please register your interest with us directly by calling the studio on (0141) 550 8030.
We are a dedicated ceramics studio and as such cannot accept applications from artists working predominantly in media other than clay. Please note that applications for studio membership are competitive. Entry is via portfolio and interview. Simply placing your name on our waiting list is not a guarantee of admittance.
As at March 2010 rent is £90 per month which includes heating and electricity. Rent increases each year in line with WASPS charges. A refundable key deposit of £30 is payable to WASPS on entry to the studio. Each member is required to volunteer some of their time each month to communal studio upkeep and maintenance.

Short term project and residency space
We have recently created a studio space especially dedicated for professional ceramic artists who are working towards an upcoming exhibition or for professional artists working across all media who would like to complete a specific project which requires the use of ceramic facilities.
We also accept applications from international ceramic artists wishing to complete a short residency in Glasgow*.
The space may be hired on a monthly or fortnightly basis up to a maximum term of three months. Rent is £90 per month plus a once off £30 refundable key deposit. This rate includes use of studio firing facilities at discounted members' prices (a small technician's fee may apply to firings if you are not qualified to use the equipment), free heating, work bench and storage space and 24 hour access.
Although we do not have a paid technician, studio members possess a vast array of skills and knowledge and may be able to provide resident artists from other media with technical help and advice.
To apply for this space or inquire whether it is available for your project dates, please call the studio on (0141) 550 8030.**
* If you are an international applicant, we can assist you in arranging living accommodations through Wasps, who manage a number of apartments located in the same building as our studio, available to let to visiting artists for very reasonable rates on a weekly or monthly basis.
** We ask that all visiting artists arrange their own public liability insurance before taking up a studio space with us.
