Even though the members of the Glasgow Ceramics Studio are busy
practicing artists with full individual working and exhibition
schedules, a couple times a year we get together to put on an event as a
studio.

Glasgow Ceramics Studio events give you the rare opportunity to experience first hand the
world of the practicing artist. You can visit our studio, talk to us face to face about our practice and
techniques, see work in progress
and purchase or commission work directly
from the artist.
2nd and 3rd of October 2010
The next event at the Glasgow Ceramics Studio is WASPS Open Studios Weekend,
which takes place annually. This year it will take place over the
weekend of the 2nd and 3rd of October. This is a massive event in which
many of the 100 studios in the building open their doors and put on
demonstrations and sales. For more information, visit the Wasps
Artists' Studio website.
It is a great way to meet the artists, see inside the studios and
watch demonstrations of how their work is made. There are often
activities for the kids and everyone puts on a big sale of their work. And remember that any work purchased from the artists at the Glasgow Ceramics Studio during our Open Days or Christmas Sale directly contributes to supporting our studio facilities and community work.
Dates and times:
Saturday 2nd October 2010, 11am - 5pm
Sunday 3rd October 2010, 12noon - 5pm
Location:

2010
Every year we also hold a studio Christmas Sale, which usually falls on the last weekend in November or the first weekend in December. So if you're looking for a unique hand made gift to make an impact this year, watch this space for dates and times in 2010.
Our Christmas sale is usually held in tandem with Parade Artists' Christmas Sale, which means that not only will you find our studio doors open, but also the entire front gallery and cafe area teaming with work from across all art disciplines, produced by the other artists who are also studio holders in the Hanson Street studios.
