Tuesday Evening Throwing Classes 

Sian Patterson will be offering two Courses of four weeks each for beginners. Each course introduces techniques on the potter’s wheel. You will learn how to ‘throw’ and ‘turn’ pots before glazing your work in the final week. Your work will be ready for collection a couple of weeks later after a final firing.

Course I

Tuesdays from 7-9pm, October 16th, 23rd, 30th & November 6th.

Course II

Tuesdays from 7-9pm, November 20th, 27th, December 4th &11th.

Each Course is £100 per person (with a £30 deposit), this includes all materials/firings.

Weekend Throwing Workshops

Louise’s throwing courses on the wheel are suitable for both beginners and improvers.

Saturday & Sunday, 21st and 22nd October 2018, 10am – 4pm Fully Booked

Saturday & Sunday, 10th and 11th November 2018, 10am – 4pm 

Saturday & Sunday, 24th and 25th November 2018, 10am – 4pm

Saturday & Sunday, 8th and 9th December 2018, 10am – 4pm

The workshop cost is £160pp and includes all materials/firings.

Monday Evening Throwing Classes

Jonathan Wade’s Monday evening throwing course will cover the basics and more advanced techniques of wheel-made ceramics.This course is suitable for beginners as well as those with previous experience who are keen to improve their skills. The course covers skills such as wedging and centering before progressing onto different aspects of throwing such as:

– Focusing on particular shapes like plates, bowls etc.
– Trimming or turning ‘foot rings’ on forms
– Throwing and joining
– Making lids
