Wheel Throwing Classes & Workshops 2023
Monday, Tuesday and/or Wednesday Evening Wheel Throwing Classes
The evening throwing class is a four week course for beginners introducing techniques on the potter’s wheel. You will learn how to ‘throw’ and ‘turn’ pots before glazing your work in the final class, which will be ready for collection 2-3 weeks later after the final firing.
When: Mondays, Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays, 6.30-8.30pm
Duration: 4 weeks.
Course cost: £165 per person (all materials and firings included).
Teacher: Cath Maskell (Monday/Wednesday evenings) Siân Patterson (Tuesday evenings).

Thursday Evening Wheel Throwing Class

Weekend Throwing Workshops
Louise’s throwing courses on the wheel are suitable for both beginners and improvers.

Monday Evening Throwing Classes
Jonathan Wade’s Monday evening throwing course will cover the basics and more advanced techniques of wheel-made ceramics.This course is suitable for beginners as well as those with previous experience who are keen to improve their skills. The course covers skills such as wedging and centering before progressing onto different aspects of throwing such as:
– Focusing on particular shapes like plates, bowls etc.
– Trimming or turning ‘foot rings’ on forms
– Throwing and joining
– Making lids
